Historical Cellars
The famous cellars in clay from Champagne are key attributes to enable optimum conditions for aging wines from Champagne. From an architectural point of view, their characteristics are clearly distinctive to the period when they were built. Right in the heart of Champagne – in the countryside – clay-cellars are more recent and almost all of them hand-built. Champagne Bannière & Co historical cellars started in 1910 for the first section and 1919 for the other part.
